Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah (Mecca) to visit the Ka'abah (House Of Allah) and perform religious duties. It is a once in a lifetime obligatory duty of every Muslim who can afford it and has the health to successfully complete it. Alhamdulillah, as you can tell from my Hajj Diaries (still being written) I went for Hajj this year in September (2016). Couple of acquaintances (ladies from the social community) had gone on the journey as well. All Hujjaj (pilgrims) (including me!) came back as celebrities, mashaAllah, and everybody wanted to treat them to dinners and lunches and hear their stories. So, when all the Hajj parties were done, we decided to throw a Hajj party as well. It was to celebrate Hajj, celebrate our Hajji friends, and thank our hosts who treated us to delicious lunches and dinners.
The idea was to have 3 tables - 1 for front and center decorations, and the other 2 as the lunch buffet tables.
The party was a ladies' lunch and there were appetizers to fill the gap while there was Qur'an recitation and sharing of Hajj stories.
